Antique Car Show406 views It was a great turnout for the Agawam’s 3rd Annual Antique Car Show at Washburn Park in Marion on Saturday, August 29. Classic car entrants signed their antique automobiles up for a chance to win first, second, or third place in the show. The sponsoring group, Agawam Chapter No. 121 Order of the Eastern Star, uses the proceeds from the event to benefit various charities the group supports. Marion Art Center406 viewsThe Sippican Lands Trust teamed up with the Marion Art Center for a non-juried exhibition called “Images: Lands of the Sippican Lands Trust,” showcasing works of art inspired by the natural beauty of some of the conservation land protected by the SLT in Marion. The tractors are hand-built by their owners, using naturally-aspirated auto engines that are 500-1,000 horsepower. Rochester Christmas Tree Lighting406 viewsRochester held its annual tree lighting on Monday night, December 7, in front of the Town Hall. Hundreds attended and greeted jolly old Saint Nick as he rode in on the town’s new yellow fire tower truck.
