Happy Days at Harbor Days 409 viewsIt all seems to come and go so quickly year after year, but while the Harbors Days are here the people of Mattapoisett and surrounding towns make time to enjoy the annual seaside event – the fish fry, lobster feast, pancake breakfast, and arts and crafts – that the Mattapoisett Lions Club works so hard all year round to keep going. Marion Halloween Parade 2017409 viewsHalloween in the Marion village is one event that shouldn’t be missed! Hundreds upon hundreds of little ghosts, ghouls, and goblins took to the streets to show off their costumes and follow it up with some treats (no tricks) and refreshments at the Marion Music Hall, sponsored by those very kind witches at the Marion Art Center. The Sippican School students led the parade under the direction of Hannah Moore. Photo by Paul Lopes

Barn Tour408 viewsOver 60 carloads of people enjoyed the second annual Rochester Land Trust Barn Tour on June 27, 2010. With eight barns on the route, enthusiasts got to explore this fascinating part of the New England landscape. Some, like the Hiller farm barn, are still in use, and others on the tour were well-kept relics of our agricultural past. Photo by Anne OBrien-Kakley
