Arbor Day385 viewsOutgoing Rochester Town Administrator Michael McCue led a small Arbor Day gathering on Friday, April 29, outside the Rochester Police Station where the Highway Department has planted ten Leyland cypress trees to screen the gas tank located at the site. Rep. William Straus and Maria Connor, representing Senator Michael Rodrigues, attended the event. Miss Inspirational385 viewsThe Miss Inspirational program took to the ORR stage and stole the show on Friday, May 6, during a packed auditorium assembled to see 29 young women of all abilities showcase their talents and accomplishments. Miss South Coast, Jillian Zucco, coordinated the fundraising event as part of her progress towards the upcoming Miss Massachusetts pageant. Marion Memorial Day385 viewsRochester fared far better with its Memorial Day celebration than Marion and Mattapoisett did with theirs on rainy Monday. Sunday, May 29, was a picture perfect day for a parade. Marion Natural History Museum385 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's after-school group learned about the science of flight, including balance, weight, and reduction of drag with Dr. William Dills. We had many happy successful lift offs and attained some very impressive heights, thanks to the rocket scientists present. The Museum wishes to thank Dr. Dills and the volunteers who helped to make this another successful program, the final program of the school calendar year.

RMS Concert385 viewsOn June 10, RMS hosted the 23rd annual concert, a partnership between elementary and middle schools in Martha’s Vineyard and Rochester Memorial. The concert band contained 150 musicians.
