A large group joined us on a very chilly night to learn about beavers in Massachusetts. We heard about how beavers create and maintain their lodges, how they cache food for when their pond freezes over, and much more. Veteran’s Day 413 viewsOn November 12, members of the Mattapoisett community gathered together at Old Hammondtown Elementary School for their annual Veteran’s Day ceremony. Commander Michael Lamoureux served as emcee of the event while State Representative William Straus, Selectman Paul Silva, Veterans’ Agent Barry Denham and U.S. Navy Lieutenant Scott Burrill addressed the audience.
