This is the third year the group has walked as the Hunger Commission of Southeastern Massachusetts team. None of her three matches lasted more than 30 seconds as she ran through the competition. Alyssa won all her matches by Ippon, which is similar to a knockout in boxing. Mock Election690 viewsThe Sippican School Student Council (Grades 4-6) held a mock presidential election last week, as did many schools across the country just a week prior to the national election. Here teacher Diane Cook directs student Alexei Sudofsky after voting while students Alissya Silva and Ayana Hartley line up behind to cast their own ballots. The Democratic ticket of Obama/Biden won with a majority 56 percent of the vote (239), while the Republican ticket of McCain/Palin garnered only 42 percent (180 votes).
