Mother’s Day Tiara 5k391 viewsSunday’s wind and rain wasn’t stopping the hundreds who participated in the annual Mother’s Day Tiara 5k in Mattapoisett on May 10. The storm brought strong wind and cold rain to the area, especially at the turn around Ned’s Point Lighthouse, dampening the day but not the sentiment behind the Women’s Fund of Southeastern Massachusetts’ largest annual fundraising event. Plumb Corner Halloween390 viewsRain didn't stop a few brave trick or treaters from coming to the October 24 Plumb Corner Halloween celebration. Businesses at Plumb Corner provided candy and shelter from the rain. A tent in the Plumb Corner field held a ghoulishly good time, with a devilish D.J. and Halloween-themed music.
