The day included bicycle safety information, a rodeo course and certificate awards for all participants. In addition, the Marion Police Department was awarded a statewide grant by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security to provide 75 bicycle helmets during the event. The event attracted about 20 youngsters aged twelve and younger with each child receiving a new fishing rod and reel as part of their entry.
