Marion Halloween Parade 2017393 viewsHalloween in the Marion village is one event that shouldn’t be missed! Hundreds upon hundreds of little ghosts, ghouls, and goblins took to the streets to show off their costumes and follow it up with some treats (no tricks) and refreshments at the Marion Music Hall, sponsored by those very kind witches at the Marion Art Center. The “Best…” and “Most Likely to…” seniors were celebrated that night, while students also mourned last week’s loss of ORR 2017 grad Becket Kiernan, last year’s winner of “Best Laugh” and “Unsung Hero,” who passed away in a California hospital just weeks after finishing his basic training for the Marines. Lions Club Triathlon393 viewsUnder merciful overcast skies on July 15, the 37th annual Lions Club Triathlon found 115 participants including seven relay teams vying for first place bragging rights. Coming in 1st place in the men’s division was Brian Hughes with a time of 51:38 minutes.
