2011 Triathlon394 views240 athletes kicked off the Harbor Days week on July 10, 2011 with the Mattapoisett Lions’ Triathlon, which started from Mattapoisett Town Beach and included a .25-mile swim, a 10-mile bike ride and a 3-mile run. The men’s winner for the Triathlon was Keith Putnam or Marston Mills, MA with a time of 52:52, and the women’s winner was Katie McCully of Eastham, MA with a time of 58:51. Photo by Anne Kakley.

SUV Fire394 viewsAn SUV was completely consumed by a fire in Rochester on Braley Hill Road, on Saturday evening, January 7, 2012. A passing motorist saw the flames and helped direct the occupants to safety. No injuries were reported, but Police Chief Paul Magee reported that the vehicle was a "total loss".
