Rochester Fire396 viewsJust before 11:00 am on April 2, the Rochester Fire Department was called out to a structure fire on Vaughan Hill Road in Rochester, with initial responders calling for assistance from the Mattapoisett and Marion Fire Departments and a tanker from Rochester. The house was located on a farm about 1,000 feet from the road down a long dirt driveway, which created a problem for supplying water to the scene.

There was a performance by the Toe Jam Puppet Band, a Birds of Prey demonstration, face painting, and a rock-climbing wall. Marion Village 5K396 viewsThe Marion Village 5K is in its 19th year, and over 250 participants turned out to run the 3.1-mile course along the waterfront and through the quaint Marion village.
