Troop Leader Dennis McLaughlin and several other troop parents oversaw the installation, which was Patrick’s Eagle Scout project. The Sunfish racks will hold a total of four Sunfish and their gear. Various volunteer organizations and groups dependent on volunteer participation set up tables and invited the public to learn how they could help. Tabor Academy Polar Plunge402 viewsTabor Academy hosted its second annual Polar Plunge on Sunday, January 21 at Silvershell Beach to raise money for the school’s Special Olympics Young Athletes Program. Students from ‘fundraising rival’ Sandwich High also showed up, with scores of students and staff making a dash in and quickly out of the chilly waters. The plunge raised about $8,000.
