Ski Jumps459 viewsTabor Academy sophomores Andrei Sarbu (yellow pants) and Joe Barry and friends enjoyed their Sunday afternoon, turning the little sledding slope on Spring Street at Tabor Academy’s soccer field into a ski jump. Waterman Reunion458 viewsThe Third Annual Waterman School Reunion took place at the Rochester Memorial School on Saturday, September 12 attracting over 100 former students of the venerable elementary school. Waterman school, which was in the building that now houses the Rochester Fire Department, was the forerunner to RMS during the first half of the Twentieth Century. Antiques in Rochester458 viewsA teddy bear won at a carnival by Nancy Boutin's father for her mother in the early 1940's was appraised by Frank McNamee for $50 to $75. The chair belonged her Grandmother's aunt Delia, was made around 1890 and was appraised for $175. Unfortunately for collectors, Nancy doesn't plan on parting with these items. Photo by Felix Perez.

Christmas Holiday Shop458 viewsSt. Anthonys and St. Ritas parishioners combined efforts to give the community a Christmas Holiday Shop and Celebration on Saturday, December 5, 2009. The basement of St. Anthonys church was decked out in snowflakes, wreaths, bells, bows, and a Santa sleigh. Santa listened patiently as children told him what they wanted for Christmas. Historic Fire458 viewsA large hole shows the damage from the December 4 fire. According to Tom Dexter, the fire could have been worse, but thanks to the fast response from the Marion Fire Department and the houses insulation, the house is salvageable.

Double Eagle458 viewsArtist Augustus Saint-Gaudens models a portrait of a woman, Mrs. Cleveland, in the Old Stone Studio in Marion, 1887. Mr. Saint-Gaudens designed the Double Eagle gold coin in 1907. The coin was highly sought-after, and a reproduction of the coin has been added to the Sippican Historical Society Museum.
