Triathlon 2009670 viewsOver two hundred athletes participated in this year's Mattapoisett Triathlon on Sunday morning, July 12. The athletes endurance was tested over a course which included a quarter-mile swim, a ten-mile bike ride and a three and three quarters-mile run. The race marks the beginning of the Mattapoisett Lions Club's annual Harbor Days Celebration with events including a craft fair, several suppers and a pancake breakfast , which unfold over the course of the week. Tie-Dyed at ORR669 viewsStudents in Ms. Gauvin’s eighth grade science class at Old Rochester Regional Junior High School learned about chemical reactions and colors during a tie-dye shirt-making session held this past week. UMass Dartmouth Chemistry Professor Tobey Dills (right background) and members of the UMass Dartmouth Chemistry Club were on hand to supervise the proceedings.
