Memorial Day Boat Race429 viewsThe Rochester Memorial Day Boat Race went off with very few hitches, despite the bursting of the bog flume at Grandma Hartley’s Reservoir just a couple days before the race. Grandparent's Day428 viewsIt was a perfect autumn day for the SouthCoast Senior Resource Alliance Grandparents Day at Hiller Farm in Rochester on September 19. Children and their grandparents had fun playing bean-bag toss, bocce, posing with the Three Stooges, and more. The face-painting and petting zoo areas were a complete hit! Most importantly, the free event provided information to seniors on health services available in the SouthCoast area. Photo by Anne O'Brien-Kakley

Plumb Corner Halloween428 viewsRain didn't stop a few brave trick or treaters from coming to the October 24 Plumb Corner Halloween celebration. Businesses at Plumb Corner provided candy and shelter from the rain. A tent in the Plumb Corner field held a ghoulishly good time, with a devilish D.J. and Halloween-themed music.
