Eagle Scout Project431 viewsAdam Perkins of Mattapoisett has completed his Eagle Scout project, kayak racks for Shipyard Park. From September 2014 through April 2015 he managed all aspects of the project from securing funding, acquiring materials, to building the racks. On May 5 the racks where transported from his home on Abbey Lane to Shipyard Park by the Highway Department. On hand to receive the gift on behalf of the town was Harbormaster Jill Simmons.

Last Day of School431 viewsJune 19 was the last day of school at RMS, and the teachers and staff celebrated with their traditional student sendoff. New Year’s Eve Party431 viewsA New Year’s Eve party at the Rochester Senior Center gave area seniors the chance to ring in the New Year early in the company of friends. Guests enjoyed dinner and dessert followed by the sharing of New Year’s resolutions and non-alcoholic bubbly.
