Summer Reading Play433 viewsOn Friday, August 3, members of the Mattapoisett Library Summer Reading Program presented their final play of the season in their outdoor theater on the Library’s lawn. Tabor Academy’s Day of Service433 viewsTabor Academy’s Day of Service was a success, spanning much of the South Coast during ambitious volunteer projects. Scores of students participated in work at the Bog Jog, at the Sippican School in Marion and Alma Del Mar in New Bedford, and at the Dartmouth YMCA, where they picked 2,150 pounds of eggplant, tomatoes, squash, as well as sweet and hot peppers, amounting to upward of 9,000 servings for those in need. In its 52nd concert season, the band welcomed guest French Horn Instrumentalist Roger Haber, and recognized Trumpeter Edith Pliskin on her 94th birthday coming up next week.
