Tabor Academy Polar Plunge413 viewsTabor Academy hosted its second annual Polar Plunge on Sunday, January 21 at Silvershell Beach to raise money for the school’s Special Olympics Young Athletes Program. Students from ‘fundraising rival’ Sandwich High also showed up, with scores of students and staff making a dash in and quickly out of the chilly waters. The plunge raised about $8,000. Winterfest413 viewsORRJHS hosted a fun Friday night for Grades 6-8 on January 19, providing a ‘Winterfest’ to break up the chilly season with some heated up fun, such as dancing to a DJ, disco lights, and an inflatables room complete with jousting, bouncing, and inflatable sumo wrestling. Lions Club Triathlon413 viewsUnder merciful overcast skies on July 15, the 37th annual Lions Club Triathlon found 115 participants including seven relay teams vying for first place bragging rights. Coming in 1st place in the men’s division was Brian Hughes with a time of 51:38 minutes.
