Extreme Engineering473 viewsOn Tuesday, July 31, dozens of curious students gathered at the Mattapoisett Library to join Dr. Martin Hudis in his Extreme Engineering program. The students participated in a variety of different exercises using remote controlled helicopters in a hands-on approach to learn valuable lessons in math and science. Veteran’s Day 473 viewsOn November 12, members of the Mattapoisett community gathered together at Old Hammondtown Elementary School for their annual Veteran’s Day ceremony. Commander Michael Lamoureux served as emcee of the event while State Representative William Straus, Selectman Paul Silva, Veterans’ Agent Barry Denham and U.S. Navy Lieutenant Scott Burrill addressed the audience.
