Buzzards Bay Swim422 viewsOn Saturday, July 2, 2011, the Buzzards Bay Coalition held its 18th Annual Buzzards Bay Swim, a 1.2-mile open-water swim from New Bedford to Fairhaven. Tri-Town participants were included in the largest annual fundraising event held by the Bay Coalition. Army Sergeant Ryan McGrath also returned on Thursday, September 1. Mattapoisett resident Kim Corazzini, a friend of the Rosperich family, led over 20 volunteers to give the men a proper welcome, which included lining Route 6 with yellow ribbons, American flags and welcome home signs. On Wednesday mornings, seniors have gathered at the bowling lanes in Mattapoisett for some conversation and friendly competition.
