The fundraising event is a familiar, welcome event every summer in Marion, and it has something to offer everyone. Each teacher devised their own scavenger hunt for the kids that helped the students discover their classrooms. Presto Press423 viewsA partnership between the Mattapoisett Historical Society and the public library allowed the sale of duplicate issues of the Presto Press, which was printed from the 1950s until the early 1990s. People poured over the stacks seeking a specific issue or year to take home for their personal archives. The tractors are hand-built by their owners, using naturally-aspirated auto engines that are 500-1,000 horsepower. Sippican School Garden Club423 viewsThe Sippican School Garden Club has been awarded a $2,000 grant from the Whole Kids Foundation to fund installation of a greenhouse on the school campus. This grant was supplemented by a $2,000 matching contribution from the Marion Garden Group, $1,000 from a donated discretionary fund, and $500 from another anonymous donor to fully fund the project.
