Marion Natural History Museum448 viewsMany thanks to Justin and Jess Barrett of the Nasketucket Bird Club for sharing their expertise and helping the Marion Natural History Museum after school group locate many of our spring bird arrivals. We viewed a red-tailed hawk, two vultures, many robins, a downy woodpecker, and many more. Marion Natural History Museum448 viewsOn Wednesday, the Marion Natural History Museum's after school group had a great time constructing their own rockets. We added fins, nose cones, parachutes to the main body of the rockets, and then added protective wadding to prevent the rocket from exploding. We then headed outside to launch our creations. Every one of the rockets had a successful launch, thanks to the help and expertise of our many volunteers. Stayin’ Alive 448 viewsSurvival Week at ORR Junior High kicked off on the early morning of Sunday, June 17, as the 7th-graders boarded the busses for Western Massachusetts for a week of roughing it in the wild. And for this generation, that simply means no electronic devices and no Dunkin’ Donuts. Survival is now in its 46th year and still going strong.
