Taste of the Tri-Town483 views The fourth annual Taste of the Tri-Town was held on Friday, September 7, 2012, at the Mattapoisett YMCA. Almost 100 guests turned out to help support the Lighthouse Fund, an endowment maintained by the ORR Tri-Town Education Foundation, which offers grants to students and teachers for educational projects that extend beyond their normal curriculum. Summer Reading Program483 viewsPlumb Library had a party on Saturday, September 15, 2012, to celebrate the success of its summer reading program, "Dream Big: Read." They did a different style of program this year which was open to students and their families, as well as their teachers. Students chose their own books and logged their hours a website. Pinewood Derby483 viewsOn Saturday, March 2nd 2013, The Cubs Scout Pack 32 held a pinewood derby at the Community Hall of the Congregational Church in Marion. The results were 1st Lucas Marcolini, 2nd Brendan Hubbard, 3rd Nathaniel Bangs, and 4th Nate Robertson. All four move on to regional finals in New Bedford later this month.
