Grange members displayed their talents in a variety of categories ranging from vegetable growing, photography, baking, crocheting and floral arrangements. Awards were given to first, second and third-place winners as well as the Judges Awards. Boy Scout Troop 31 assisted Grange members, headed by Chairman Herbert LaFleur and Secretary Susan LaFleur. Both Marion (Saturday morning) and Rochester fire departments hosted Nero’s Law training for multiple municipalities over the weekend. The troop came up with the idea of hosting a haunted house a short 2 1/2 weeks ago and designed and built all scenes in a three-day period during the week of October 14-18. In the department’s 10th year walking, the participants raised $8,500, the largest amount raised to date as they symbolized the extra weight of living with Multiple Sclerosis.
