Rochester Memorial Day Boat Race439 viewsIt rained, again, for the Rochester Memorial Day Boat Race on Monday, May 29, but that never stops the participants from paddling the 14 miles of the Mattapoisett River that winds from Grandma Hartley’s Reservoir in Snipatuit Pond in Rochester all the way to the Herring Weir in Mattapoisett off River Road and Route 6. Rochester Road Race438 viewsThere were 225 runners who competed in the 9th Annual Rochester Road Race on August 9 to raise money and collect food for The Food Pantry at Damien’s Place in Wareham. Classic Cars438 viewsClassic car enthusiasts from the area gathered Monday nights throughout the summer, riding up in their shiny antique cars and pulling up a lawn chair to sit back and reminisce about the good old days to the sounds of music from the ‘50s and ‘60s.
