Children and their grandparents had fun playing bean-bag toss, bocce, posing with the Three Stooges, and more. The face-painting and petting zoo areas were a complete hit! Flag Day Ceremony 339 viewsRochester Memorial School 4th Grade held an all school Flag Day ceremony on June 14th honoring and thanking community first responders. Commencing this energy filled event was the raising of the flag to the National Anthem followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Acknowledgements to a fantastic show of local and state police, fire fighters, EMTâs, veterans and serving military heroes was presented through 4th grade students and famous poems, songs and personal thank yous. Beginning at Grandma Hartleyâs Reservoir on Snipatuit Road, boaters paddled the almost 12-mile race route to Herring Weir at River Road in Mattapoisett. There were 65 teams in all. Classic Cars339 viewsClassic car enthusiasts from the area gathered Monday nights throughout the summer, riding up in their shiny antique cars and pulling up a lawn chair to sit back and reminisce about the good old days to the sounds of music from the â50s and â60s.
