Memorial Day Boat Race462 viewsKeeping with an 80 year-old tradition, people with their home made boats raced toward the finish line during the annual Rochester Memorial Day Boat Race. Beginning at Grandma Hartley’s Reservoir on Snipatuit Road, boaters paddled the almost 12-mile race route to Herring Weir at River Road in Mattapoisett. There were 65 teams in all. Rochester Road Race462 viewsThere were 225 runners who competed in the 9th Annual Rochester Road Race on August 9 to raise money and collect food for The Food Pantry at Damien’s Place in Wareham.
