Sunday, May 29, was a picture perfect day for a parade. Tractor pulls, animal shows, kids’ games, music, and wrestling (including the match between The Aardvark and Buck Chuck) delighted us while it lasted in the bucolic setting of Rochester, Massachusetts. No-Shave November498 viewsCosmetology students at Old Colony gave five Rochester Police officers a shave and a haircut on November 30, marking the end of No-Shave November. The officers raised over $1,500 letting their facial hair grow out, a no-no for the rest of the year for the officers. Oh, Christmas tree 498 viewsHo! Ho! Ho! It’s the holiday season in Rochester now that the tree is lit followed by the arrival of jolly old Saint Nick via fire engine on December 4 to usher in the holiday season. The Rochester Memorial School band and chorus treated revelers to a festive performance, while Christmas poster winner Tessa Winslow had the honor of flipping the switch to light the holiday tree. Hillbilly Hoedown497 viewsA Hillbilly Dinner Dance was held at Redman Hall in Wareham on Saturday, February 27, 2010 to benefit the 11th annual Rochester Country Fair. After dinner, Twinkies were provided for dessert and The Relics provided music.
