Rochester Green Ways 334 viewsOn Wednesday, May15th the Rochester Green Ways Committee met to work on its Wildflower Garden in the center of town. Members cleaned up winter debris, weeded the beds that are filled with native and introduced plants that are called weeds by some and planted new seed for this and future years beauty. This is a necessary chore that was enhanced by the fact that it was held on the state and national Plant Something Day.

First Congregational Church of Rochester334 viewsThe bell of the First Congregational Church of Rochester rang above the center of Rochester for the last time this morning, November 20, before it was lowered from the church’s belfry via crane to the ground, the final step of the renovation on the church. The historic bell, created in 1892 by an apprentice of Paul Revere III, grandson to our famous bell maker Paul Revere, will be refurbished and put in storage for some time before it is returned to the church. Rochester Country Fair 334 viewsThe Rochester Country Fair rolled into town on Thursday, August 18, filled the air with the sweet smells of Italian sausage and fried fair food, mixed with the smoke of diesel engines, and created that magical scent we all relish until the fair wrapped up on Sunday, August 21. Tractor pulls, animal shows, kids’ games, music, and wrestling (including the match between The Aardvark and Buck Chuck) delighted us while it lasted in the bucolic setting of Rochester, Massachusetts.
