The Marion town band entertained the crowd until dusk when the night's big show lit up the sky's above Sippican Harbor. Romance and Dance682 viewsFlutist and Marion resident Wendy Rolfe and pianist Deborah DeWolf Emery will perform a tea-time concert titled “Romance & Dance!” at the First Congregational Church of Marion on Saturday, January 26 beginning at 5:00 pm. The program will feature lively tangos, Brazilian dances, lyrical romances, and Eastern European folk rhythms by world-renowned performers. Suggested donations at the door of $8 ($4 for students) will benefit the music program at the First Congregational Church.

Gorgeous Gardens682 viewsOne of the many beautiful homes that will be included in the annual “Gardens by the Sea,” a tour of private, Marion gardens sponsored by Saint Gabriel’s Episcopal Church, which will take place on Friday, July 11 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. The event will include a luncheon at a private seaside club and a Bake/Plant Sale. “Tour Only” tickets are $20 each and may be purchased at the Marion General Store and Saint Gabriel’s Church in Marion.
