Pumpkin Palooza373 viewsSaturday’s Pumpkin Palooza hosted by the Marion Council of Aging and the Recreation Department at the Cushing Community Center. Families decorated pumpkins, and children enjoyed face painting, a hula-hoop contest, dancing, a visit from Pine Meadow Farm animals and refreshments supported by Tabor Academy volunteers. Pumpkins were later illuminated, giving the pavilion an eerie weekend presence. Sixty-five families preregistered to participate in the event inspired by Marion citizen Dianne Cosman

Timeless Tunes, Tales and Tributes shows are scheduled for Friday, September 5, and Saturday, September 6, at 7:30 pm and on Sunday, September 7, at 4:00 pm at the Marion Congregational Community Center, 144 Front Street. The Irving Berlin Revue singers include Brad Cardwell, Johnny Ashley, Paul Sardinha, Lyn-Marie Dandineau, Sarah Jackson, Mary Caldwell, and Caroline Blaise.
