The Marion town band entertained the crowd until dusk when the night's big show lit up the sky's above Sippican Harbor. Marion Natural History Museum725 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's afterschool group enjoyed learning about minerals and fossils with geologist Jim Pierson. The group also compared various artifacts such as relative sizes of Megaladon teeth versus White Shark, and took a look at many examples of fossils such as fish, leaves, and the tiny tracks of a trilobite. The event will take place Saturday, August 16 and Sunday August 17, with a Preview Party to be held on Friday, August 15. This year marks the 16th anniversary of the show, which is a benefit fundraiser for the Sippican Historical and Preservation Society.
