Boy Scouts of Marion, Troop 32525 viewsThe Boy Scouts of Marion, Troop 32 recently took part in a Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Class at the Marion Fire Department that was arranged by Star Scout Chris Horton. Firefighters Mike Enright and Kevin Buckley taught a Friends and Family version of CPR class in two hours. The Scouts got hands on experience in what it takes to save a life and the dangers therein.

On September 23 it took ten enthusiastic little gardeners to pull up a ten-foot tall sunflower and carry it to “Weed Mountain.” After, the kids collected greens, grasses, and flowers to make an arrangement for the main office. Taber Fall Lapsit Program525 viewsThe Fall Lapsit Program for babies kicked off on October 7 at the Taber Library in Marion. Babies and their caregivers enjoy 20 minutes of stories and 20 minutes of social time. Children’s Librarian Rosemary Gray delighted five happy babies with some peekaboo, short stories such as Where is Baby’ Belly Button, and songs like the Itsy Bitsy Spider.
