Marion Holiday Stroll531 viewsThe Marion village streets were filled with holiday revelers on Sunday, December 9, for the annual Marion Holiday Stroll. Santa’s boat docked at the Marion Wharf where the faces of hundreds of children lit up at his arrival. Santa boarded a horse-drawn carriage and paraded through the streets, passing businesses offering free goodies and dodging the whereabouts of that old Grinch who didn’t seem to mind Christmas coming at all this year. Gifts To Give530 viewsOn Saturday, September 11, approximately 40 children from Marion Pack 32 Boy, Cub and Girl Scout troops, along with a dozen parents, met at New Bedford’s Gifts To Give to lend a hand to a worthy cause. Gifts to Give, located on Cove Street in New Bedford, is a non-profit agency that helps connect children and families to services that they need. The fund raiser was originally scheduled to run for two nights and to include Sunday but was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy.
