5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot533 viewsThere were 31 registered runners for this year’s 5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot for Marion Recreation on Sunday, November 22. The course takes runners from Tabor Academy down Front Street through the village and back again to Tabor. Hot to Trot533 viewsThe third annual “Hot to Trot” dog walk hosted by the Sippican Lands Trust brought about 20 dogs and at least twice as many humans out for a post-Thanksgiving walk at the SLT’s White Eagle property in Marion on November 29. Ice Sculpture at the Marion Art Center533 viewsIn front of the Marion Art Center, Tim Wade carved out an ice sculpture of a train on December 13, an unseasonably warm December day. The kids climbed aboard ambulances, fire trucks, police cruisers, and even the harbormaster’s boat. Marion Village 5K533 viewsThe number of participants in this year’s Marion Village 5K might have been down slightly according to race organizers, but the sentiment of fun and competition certainly was not on Saturday, June 25. Taking first place for men was Andrew Sukeforth of Middleboro with a time of 15:43, and Meg Hughes of Rochester won first place in the women’s division with a time of 19:50.
