Marion Natural History Museum547 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum welcomed a visit from Mark Whelan, engineer with Sippican/Lockheed Martin Corp. Mark allowed us to experiment with compression, stability and buoyancy. We built our own submarines and figured out how to make it sink, but not too fast. Then we held a race to see whose submarine sank the slowest. The group had a great time working with all the materials and we’d like to thank Mark and Sippican/Lockheed Martin for the wonderful program.

Cushing VFW Post 2425, which in return gave a moving farewell as it disbanded this year and donated the VFW building to the town.
