Family Campout at Camp Hadley554 viewsOn the weekend of June 7 the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts met for their annual Family Campout at Camp Hadley in Marion. The Scouts started off with a firewood moving exercise that got all involved and started the day off right. The Boy Scouts did a great job introducing the Cub Scouts to ‘Line Rescue’ in the water, Knife, Saw and Axe Safety, Fire Safety, Dutch Oven Cooking (with a pineapple upside down cake) and a Flag Raising and Lowering Ceremony.

On September 23 it took ten enthusiastic little gardeners to pull up a ten-foot tall sunflower and carry it to “Weed Mountain.” After, the kids collected greens, grasses, and flowers to make an arrangement for the main office. Kohout, donated his 16 foot, mahogany, 1959 Canadian Mounty Police Wooden Cargo Canoe to Marion Boy Scout Troop 32/Cub Scout Pack 32 on Thursday September 11, 2014. The Scouts are honored to have such an amazing vessel offered to them and plan to use it in future outings. Pictured are Paul S.
