Marion Holiday Stroll599 viewsThe Marion village streets were filled with holiday revelers on Sunday, December 9, for the annual Marion Holiday Stroll. Santa’s boat docked at the Marion Wharf where the faces of hundreds of children lit up at his arrival. Santa boarded a horse-drawn carriage and paraded through the streets, passing businesses offering free goodies and dodging the whereabouts of that old Grinch who didn’t seem to mind Christmas coming at all this year. Cushing Community Center on Sunday, December 8. ‘Chief’ Santa and Mrs. Claus entertained the little ones before enjoying a pizza lunch. Stars & Stripes Forever Musical Revue598 viewsThe Marion Art Center staged the “Stars & Stripes Forever Musical Revue” last weekend to packed crowds. The rousing show mimicked a USO event, with the audience being entertained as the “troops.” The production featured the “Swanson Sisters from Sheboygan: Dixie, Trixie & Pixie,” (played by Caroline Blaise, Pam Breton, and Denise Bastos) and was hosted by the hilariously funny “Frankie B. Sharpe” (played by Eric Bosworth). The MAC theatre was set up cabaret style, and guests brought their own refreshments.

Boots598 viewsMarion resident ‘Boots’ the cat, AKA ‘Mr. Boots’ is a familiar sight to neighbors of Little Neck Village in Marion when he takes his owner Suzanne Peterson out for a walk around his little world several times a day with his little cat collar and leash.
