The group meets at the Rochester Council on Aging and welcomes like-minded artists to join them. Kayak Clinic100 viewsAugust 9 and 10, the Mattapoisett Land Trust in partnership with the Mattapoisett Recreation Department held two kayak clinics for children ages 8 to 12. MLT volunteers provided safety instructions, a major focus of the program. Kayak introductory instruction has been provided by the two organizations for six years. Farmer retired after more than 30 years as the Town Band leader. Newell, who has more than 25 years playing and teaching in south-coast bands and in schools, is a teacher at Durfee High School in Fall River.
