ORR Cheer!630 viewsSaturday September, 26th,during the home game against Bourne the ORR varsity cheerleaders performed a halftime routine with tri town future cheerleaders. The elementary age cheerleaders took part in a clinic, offered by the ORR cheerleaders in August where they learned some cheers, jumps and a half time routine. The show was a creative, educational collaboration between grade 4 teachers, music teachers Sue Audette and Chris Williamson, and art teacher Joanne Smith. Class of 2020 629 viewsGraduating seniors in the Old Rochester Regional High School Class of 2020 drove around to the back of the school building on May 28, where they were greeted by faculty and administration. After arriving in order of homeroom to ensure safe spacing, the seniors turned in textbooks and received yearbooks, a surprise COVID-19 gift bag, and a long-sleeve t-shirt decorated with the mascot Bulldog and the word ‘Quarantine’ spelled across the front. The game, which was organized to benefit the Thuestad family of Mattapoisett and the DeMello family of Rochester, ended with the students narrowly defeating the faculty, 48-47. Multicultural Festival 628 viewsThe local AFS (American Field Service) held a multicultural festival on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Center School in Mattapoisett. The festival included several stations that displayed information about different cultures from around the world. Exchange students from Thailand, Panama and Northern Germany also enjoyed the festivities.
