Stayin’ Alive 324 viewsSurvival Week at ORR Junior High kicked off on the early morning of Sunday, June 17, as the 7th-graders boarded the busses for Western Massachusetts for a week of roughing it in the wild. And for this generation, that simply means no electronic devices and no Dunkin’ Donuts. Survival is now in its 46th year and still going strong. Mr. T!323 viewsStudents chanted “Mr. T!” to Mr. Tavares on the roof as they left school June 18. Kevin Tavares, associate principal, challenged the kids to raise 481 canned goods to top Mr. T’s 480 – they collected over 800 instead! Special Olympics Young Athletes323 viewsRoughly 120 Tabor Academy students volunteered on January 10 to assist with the school’s first session of the Special Olympics Young Athletes™ program held at Tabor. The program offers children ages 3-7 with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities to engage in physical activities vital to mental and physical growth. Spearheaded by Math teacher Tim Cleary and Tabor senior Molly Bent, sessions continue January 17 to March 6 (no session February 7) at 2:00 pm at the Fish Center for Athletics
