Rochester Lions Club465 viewsThe school gave a “giant thank you” to the Rochester Lions Club for the donation of a brand new vision screener to replace the one the Lions Club donated to the school 44 years ago (below, right). School Nurse Michelle Humphrey showed her gratitude by asking students at Old Colony to create a small plaque thanking the Lions Club to be affixed to the side of the vision screener. ORRJH Thanksgiving Banquet 465 viewsORR Junior High School eighth-graders hosted the annual Thanksgiving Banquet for Tri-Town Seniors on Sunday, November 22. About 90 student volunteers helped pass out turkey dinners and raffle prizes, and cafeteria staff also volunteered their time to provide a delicious meal of thanks to area senior citizens. This is the second year the recently reconstituted drama club has presented a fairy tale-themed performance at the junior high, and the show features a cast of 33 with singing and dancing coordinated by a group of volunteer parents.
