With drought conditions, dry harvesting the berries has started largely unaffected by the lack of water thus far, but bog flooding later in the season could be affected if water sources are not replenished with rain. Paula and Dana Johnson of Rochester are in the midst of their dry pick, circling the bogs, one after the other, day in and day out with their mechanical Furfords and burlap sacks to harvest the cranberries fit for fresh fruit sale.

Music was provided by Felonious Funk, and party-goers enjoyed a wide array of finger foods and fine spirits. Friendly conversation lingered over the silent auction tables, which offered original oil paintings, handmade felted purses, memberships to the Wareham YMCA and the Marion Art Center, and plenty of gift certificate to area businesses. Relay for Life563 viewsOver 200 Tri-Town residents gathered to help raise money for the American Cancer Society by participating in the fifth annual Relay for Life. The Relay started at 5:00 pm on Friday June 11 and continued until 12:00 pm on Saturday. Participants walked the track at ORR throughout the night and into the next afternoon as a way to honor cancer survivors and those who lost their battle to cancer.
