The race was held to benefit the Women’s Fund of Southeastern Massachusetts. Many of the runners donned tiaras and capes, making this event one of the more colorful local road races. Corcordia Launches571 viewsMattapoisett resident Brian Kvilhaug will skipper the new fishing vessel, Concordia, which was launched in Fairhaven on Friday, December 2, 2011. The 95-foot, 199-ton steel scallop boat is the first built in the area in the past 50 years, and was built at D. N. Kelly’s shipyard in Fairhaven.
