Little Free Diverse Library207 viewsIt's been a year since Tri-Town Against Racism’s first Little Free Diverse Library was installed at Ned's Point in Mattapoisett, and on May 12 TTAR members along with supporters gathered again to celebrate, this time the reopening of the little library that in November 2021 had been vandalized, destroying both the structure and the books it held. That senseless act only fostered a stronger sense of purpose and community unity. Photos by Marilou Newell

Storm Damage205 viewsAn uprooted tree lays across the front lawn of a ranch house on Front Street near Silvershell Beach in Marion last Friday. Earlier in the day, a Mattapoisett Fire truck monitored the scene after a downed powerline caused a fire and closed Water Street down the street from Town Hall.
