It was learned that the tunnel extends all the way to the front of Sippican Elementary School. Library Director Jennifer Jones prepared and served vegan substitutes of chicken, hot dogs, sausage, and lunchmeat. The participants nibbled each offering with great anticipation. Marion Wells229 viewsMarion’s well field at Mary’s Pond is a work in progress, as three state-of-the-art, 12-inch well pipes with submersible pumps are replacing 26 red-capped pipes that measure 2½ inches in diameter. The network of smaller pipes has been operated by one pump located inside the station building. When completed, Marion expects that upgrades at the East and West well fields and at Mary’s Pond will enable the town to double its water production. See story on Water/Sewer Commissioners.

The afternoons were already getting shorter before the resetting of the clocks dramatically altered our seasonal mindscape under a sun that sits farther and farther south, giving way earlier in the day to big orange moons emerging from the horizon.
