The Historical Society is having its annual holiday shop, which features a variety of unique gifts such as historical postcard and map recreations, books, and tree ornaments. Cushing Post VFW 2425 gave the town one last chance to kick up its heels before sending the kids back to school as they threw an end-of-the-season Block Party in honor the towns World War II and other veterans. The show will begin at 8:00 pm and tickets are $10 at the door, or free to those who have contributed to the Marion Police Brotherhoods recent fund-raising campaign.
