Old Rochester Regional Youth Football466 viewsThe Old Rochester Regional Youth Football teams are hitting the fields hard in order to prepare for their upcoming 2012 season. This year marks the seventh year for the program. With over 150 players in the program, there are six teams and a dedicated staff of coaches and parents for a support system. Plymouth Sands Trail Riders 465 viewsOn Sunday, October 28, the Plymouth Sands Trail Riders bike club held a hare scramble at the Mattapoisett landfill. The club, which boasts over 300 members from all around New England, had over 100 riders participate in the event. Riders from teens up to seniors took off for the 40 minute races around the 2.5 mile wooded track. Proceeds from the event will be part of an annual donation the club makes to fund cystic fibrosis research. Photo by Eric Tripoli

ORR Basketball465 viewsThe ORR Lady Bulldogs Varsity Basketball team dominated Dighton-Rehoboth 50-24 Thursday night in front of a home crowd in the ORR gymnasium. The girls went on a 16-2 run in the first quarter and never gave up their lead. The team improves to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the South Coast Conference. 7th Grade Travel Team 465 viewsThe Old Rochester Bulldogs 7th Grade Travel Team were recently crowned Champions at the Old Rochester Basketball Holiday Tournament hosted by Tabor Academy The boys went 4-0 beating Lakeville twice and Middleboro once with a final win against Bridgewater. The team from left to right includes: Assistant Coach Bob Mourao, Matthew Brogioli, Jake Mourao, Nate King, Bob Ross, Dillan Villa, Adam Breault, Noah Massad, Isaiah Ostiguy, Adam Sylvia, Noah McIntyre, Cole McIntyre, Head Coach Ken Ross and Joe Robinson.
