Over 70 Peewee Tier IV teams from across the state competed for entry into the tournament, but only 12 teams made it to this final tourney. Hosted by the Mattapoisett Lions Club every year, the triathlon takes racers .25 miles from the shore of Town Beach and back, 10 miles bicycling through Mattapoisett, and 5K through the village around Ned’s Point Lighthouse. Basketball Bonanza Fundraiser523 viewsOn March 20, Sippican Elementary School's sixth-graders narrowly defeated the teacher-parent team at their Basketball Bonanza Fundraiser for their annual Three-Day Appalachian Mountain Classroom (AMC) field trip. At the game, the students were elated when two area businesses each presented a check for over $600.
