Boba-tea Stand200 viewsEmma Daniel, left, and Ruby Cambra at their boba-tea stand in Rochester, where the two children offered the drink made of tapioca pearls in a variety of flavors. This less-expensive version of the popular drink available in coffee shops was a big hit locally, and the two children, ages 8 and 7 respectively, donated the $102 they received in tips to the Fairhaven Animal Shelter. HoksHeadLighthouse.jpg
Hook's Head 405 viewsHook's Head is in County Wexford, Ireland. As the oldest, intact, functional lighthouse in the world, it was constructed in 1172 by Knight William Marshall. There are 115 stairs to the top of the tower which is constructed of local limestone with walls measuring 4 meters thick. Pictured are John Szymczuk and Bridget O'Donnell Szymczuk, both of Mattapoisett, displaying the recent copy of The Wanderer that featured a cover photo with our very own Ned's Point Lighthouse.
