Mattapoisett Town Band Director105 viewsOn August 25, Mattapoisett Town Band Director Jim Farmer introduced the new band director, Jayson Newell. Farmer retired after more than 30 years as the Town Band leader. Newell, who has more than 25 years playing and teaching in south-coast bands and in schools, is a teacher at Durfee High School in Fall River.
